136 - Right-Wing Spins '08 Results / Shameful Health Care Statistics / Bush's Last Minute Regulatory Massacre / Ensuring A Progressive '09 And Beyond

Today, four subjects:

Countering right-wing spin on the election results

A sober reminder on the health care front about what this is all about, beyond the left-right ideological battle

How the Bush administration is trying real hard to cause the most damage on its way out

And, on a personal note, what Obama's win means to me, and what I think is the best way to persuade him to move in a strong progressive direction.

Along the way, you'll hear Bill O'Reilly, George W. Bush, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and...Jay Leno.

(PS: Right-wingers, if you want to write in to me, fine, but at least do me the courtesy of listening to the podcast first. Please don't respond just on the basis of the brief preview above. Thanks!!)

This was the first time I listened to your show. I was looking for Progressive podcasts & found yours. I liked it. I will continue listening. It's so nice to hear a viewpoint more in line with my own.

Finally, Blast the Right. What a blast of fresh air. I am a Christian having, in the tradition of my evangelical upbringing, accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior during an alter call at an Assembly of God church at a young age (just like that light weight, Sarah Palin.) I have been appalled at how the Right Wing has hijacked my faith for their own political purposes using stupid arguments that pander to the worst in people.

Thank you for your thoughful, insightful and intelligent voice of reason. Now, I have a source I can turn to to counter the misinformation that hot talk radio and right wing talking heads foist upon us.

    Bravo!!
