138 - Social Darwinism: The Doctrine That Lets The Right-Winger Sleep At Night / Paraguay Rejects Right, Elects As President The "Bishop Of The Poor"

In the first segment, you'll hear about the doctrine of Social Darwinism. It's the pill right-wingers take to allow them to sleep at night. Some audio clips of right-wingers may scare you, so be prepared. Barbara Bush, Bill Cunningham, Neal Boortz and Bill O'Reilly all have some choice words for you.

Next, have you heard about the Bishop of the Poor being elected president of an impoverished Latin American country? He kicked out of power the long-entrenched, extreme right-wing ruling party. I'll tell you what you need to know, as well as reveal the most powerful words I've ever heard; they were spoken to me over a kitchen table, no less.

(PS: Right-wingers, if you want to write in to me, fine, but at least do me the courtesy of listening to the podcast first. Please don't respond just on the basis of the brief preview above. Thanks!!)

Quality show, solid info. I think many of us "lefties" understand the idea of social Darwinism, we need points on how to defeat that argument. Would love to hear a follow up show. Keep up the good work.

    Jack,
It's funny that the right spout "social darwinism" when it was the facist Hitler that really took the idea from a philosophical framework to the real world with catastrophic results. Darwin must be turning in his grave!
