125 - Yet More Evidence That Right-Wing Health Care Policies Are Deadly / Progressive Victories: Economic Justice For Farmworkers!

Today you'll hear how right-wing opposition to universal health care kills cancer patients.

Actually, right-wing health care policies kill thousands of Americans every year, according to study after study.

Also: I'll give you some great news about economic justice for farm workers.

The question to right-wingers here is: shouldn't the people whose back-breaking labor puts the food on your plate, earn enough to live at least a minimally decent life, out of poverty?

(PS: Right-wingers, if you want to write in to me, fine, but at least do me the courtesy of listening to the podcast first. Please don't respond just on the basis of the brief preview above. Thanks!!)

  1. I've been listening for a few weeks now and I still haven't figured out if you are doing a parody? Or do you really believe what you are saying?

Whichever, good luck, keep it coming. I love a good chuckle and 'Blast the Right' provides for me every time.

    Thanks!

I wonder if Chicken Hammer really did listen to the podcast.

I thought the title seemed a bit of a stretch too, but when I listened I realized Jack was simply citing some recent high profile medical studies. If you keep informed on the literature, the theme is consistent: The US is alone without universal healthcare, more Americans suffer and die early as a result, and Americans pay about twice as much for this luxury. This particular study pointed out the US has the highest number of unnecessary deaths and is falling further behind the rest of the developed world.

Any informed person already knows this. Those who oppose universal healthcare openly accept these simple facts but go on to argue that such people should be left to die for some reason (social Darwinism, market forces, fear of Govt, etc).
