165 - Health Care Vote Post-Game Show: The Right-Wing Is Down, But Not Out (And Lying Even More Than Usual, If That's Possible)

Today, we'll dissect the right-wing's still-continuing lies and hypocrisy about the recently passed health care legislation. This will lead us into a broader discussion of social and economic justice, and the right-wing's aversion to both.

Did you know the right has its own sociopathic credo, called Social Darwinism? This is among the gems you'll discover as you listen to the the show. Lots of cold hard facts as well, in order to better discombobulate your friendly local right-winger.

As an added bonus, you'll have the pleasure of listening to select audio clips of such wonderful human beings as Ronald Reagan, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. Don't worry, a strong dose of FDR oratory will wash away any bad taste caused by the aforementioned master propagandists of the right.

Hi Jack! Love your podcast and wish you would put it out more frequently to combat the right-wing misinformation and lies! I posted a 5 star review for you on Itunes and hope you continue to keep up the good work! I was just wondering what the song was on Episode 165 where he sings about "their kids don't bleed in their wars" or something like that. Please let me know what the name of it is and who sings it b/c I'd love to get a full copy of the song. Thanks so much!

I guess I just don't get it. Hasn't medical insurance always been a commodity anyone could buy? Why would you want your government involved?

Over and over again I am seeing overall a genocide on the working class and poverty of the world from the wealthy class and leaders.

Hi Jack. I really like your show!
I have a suggestion with regards to how the right works.
It is much like the Milgram experiment - where an authority figure instructs subjects to perform acts that are in conflict with their personal conscience.

The average joe is not right or left... I think they are well meaning but when brain washed by media to believe that people in authority are right all the time... will take their direction and or in this case created values and do amazing damage to others.

I think that the right performs grand experiments on the masses all the time. Seeing what they can do next to both confuse people and damage relationships to further their agenda.

It would be nice if the left had some kind of remedy to counteract the damage the right does every day.

If any of you would look at the history of Hitler, Stalin, etc. You would see this is where Obama and his cronies are taking us. There is a lot wrong with this country but taking us down the socialistic road is not the fix. Getting the people on welfare working! Since when does giving a helping hand mean a way of life. The left just wants to keep the poor down by continuing to provide government programs and not insisting they get off their duffs and work. What happened to the American way of life! Not a welfare state of life! Getting illegals out so American citizens can have jobs! Giving the small businessman a break so he can hire to create jobs! Getting government out of our lives. This country is ran by us, not the government! Think people use the brain God gave you and realize that all of this is wrong, or do you like being led around with a ring in your nose! Told when you can blow your nose and how to do it. If you like that and or you like doing that to others then you are in the right place. If you use your brain, care about others and our country then stand up for yourself and our country not this PC defication that you have been told to do because it's fair! Life isn't fair!

Clark always backs up his statements against the right wing with fact and data, which gives him all the more credibility. As conglomerate media controlled by politics clouds the mainstream news media, Jack Clark, along with NPR and Democracy Now! have become my primary news source. Awesome podcast!

In-Depth, Meaty, Hardcore Knowledge
This podcast is not just entertainment, humor, chimp-bashing, or gee-whiz recap of the weeks events. Instead, it hits hard and in-depth on the world economic situation and how right-wing policies impact the poor and less advantaged all over the world. He examines Americas support of the World Bank, IMF,multinational corporations, etc., and connects the dots. This is a podcast for grown-ups. He gives good reasons why the right wing is NOT living up to its precious Bible, without putting down the Bible. As a Jesus-loving Christian and moderate Democrat, I respect this podcast for its subject matter. The grown-up manner of the speaker is just icing on the cake. He IS funny, but hes not trying to be, he just has a deadpan delivery but doesnt have to make jokes to make it interesting. The facts make it interesting and devastating.

Jack Clarks Blast the Right podcast is truly a breath of fresh air when it comes to political commentary. Jack is not like some commentators who simply climb on their soap box and state their own opinions as fact. Instead, Jack welcomes competent challenges to his way of thinking, and with logical analysis and sound research, debunks the lies, distortions, and self-deceptions of the right wing. I strongly recommend Blast the Right for people who seek the truth and care more about the long term health and well-being of the whole citizenry than the short term personal gain advocated by modern conservatives. Listen as Jack carefully shows how the high-sounding "God and country" rhetoric of the right wing is really just a smokescreen for policies that ultimately lead only to the increased misery, suffering, and death of the less fortunate for the particular benefit of the wealthy and the well-connected.
