Today, more on the Arizona immigration law and efforts to fight this latest right-wing outrage. Plus, progressive efforts to achieve economic justice in New York and elsewhere. Right-wing racism rears its ugly head throughout. And you'll hear a clip of Glenn Beck you won't believe. Actually, you probably will, if you know him.
(PS: Right-wingers, if you want to write in to me, fine, but at least do me the courtesy of listening to the podcast first. Please don't respond just on the basis of the brief preview above. Thanks!!)
Scheduling note: episodes of Blast The Right will be posted every three weeks.

Decided to give Jack Clark a try today when I happened across him on iTunes. Jack did a great job of demonstrating the greed and oppression of the Right Wing. It was easy to see that the Right Wing is the cold, immoral demographic in the US. Jacks listeners are right to enjoy his use of fact to back up his statements. Oops. Turns out "The Facts" point out something odd. Red states, or Right Wingers, give a significantly higher percentage of their income to charitable organizations. Sorry, forgot to give you the facts. http://blog.fortiusone.com/2009/01/07/dataset-of-the-day-who-is-more-generous-republicans-or-democrats/ Hypocrites exist on both sides. Liberals are only generous with other peoples money. Jack would rather give a man a fish, not teach a man to fish. Greedy Right Wingers?! Ha! Take a closer look at your cherished statistics, Jack. Stay away from statistics where liberals spend our money, take a look at how generous liberals are with their own hard earned money. Willing to bet the blog author will not have the guts to post this on his/her "objective" blog.
What Jeffrey does not understand the vital information from the previous podcasts from Blast the Right on the issue of no trickle down affect from wealth to Middle-class. Furthermore, Jeffrey does not address concern for the serious tax avoidance from the wealthy. So what if a few gives millions to so called charitable organization. What about the billions they stock pile and millions they could pay for providing decent work with a living wage to the Americans as they should? What Blast the Right points out is the wealthy only have one agenda, to protect their own asses and screw everyone else. They want to kill off the Middle-Class Americans and rule the world.
"A recent study found that African-Americans are still routinely excluded from southern juries, thus denying black defendants a jury of their peers."
The only way this is helpful is to compare the rate at which blacks, whites and other hispanics are excluded from juries. The law allows for exclusion. Is it being applied disproportionately to minorities? I don't doubt it is, but the statistical proof would be in a comparison, not in the statement above.
There are few people who tackle so many topics of concern in this white washed era of "Right" driven media.
When it comes to Arizona styled Immigration ideology... I think there is a larger issue at stake. The Right loves to create an - us verses them mentality. One that seems to always prove that America does no wrong.
There are many US wars going on today. I believe that the Immigration issue is the beginning of a US central and south American war. One that is started with the name of War on Drugs but will soon be turned into Anglos verses Latins.
I don't know how many people know, that the US is currently building as many as 7 military bases in Colombia. Why would a country build military bases if it weren't going to initial some kind of military action.
If Latinos are considered druggies and bad for the US - much like the muslims.. then it will be easy for Fox and Republican types to make the co-relation that we need to exterminate them before they do the US harm.
Very poor logic but it has worked for 911. The US is still in Afganistan/Iraq even after it was proven that it was Saudi nationals that were implicated as part of the group that attacked the Trade Towers.
In this era of USA kill before you think - before you check your values - before you understand human rights, US people of conscience need to gather and correct the view of all nationalities. No nationality is better than another. We need to stop creating an us and them. We are on this world together. Don't drop legislative bombs nor real ones. Give and you will receive. The US needs to stop creating enemies.
Jack, you need to come back.... social media is bigger than ever and I just discovered you right before you went off the air. You will make a bigger difference than you will ever know. I f*cking need you man.
Jack
Clark documents the right's wars on the poor,
civil liberties, the right of workers to organize
at work and obtain a decent working wage and work
conditions, and against other countries who refuse
to accept American domination. Jack provides all
the sources so that you can see for yourself how
the right is out to enrich itself at the expense
of everyone else. Great job, Jack!

awesome
show
Clark
always backs up his statements against
the right wing with fact and data, which
gives him all the more credibility.
As conglomerate media controlled by
politics clouds the mainstream news
media, Jack Clark, along with NPR and
Democracy Now! have become my primary
news source. Awesome podcast!

In-Depth,
Meaty, Hardcore Knowledge
This
podcast is not just entertainment, humor,
chimp-bashing, or gee-whiz recap of
the weeks events. Instead, it hits hard
and in-depth on the world economic situation
and how right-wing policies impact the
poor and less advantaged all over the
world. He examines Americas support
of the World Bank, IMF,multinational
corporations, etc., and connects the
dots. This is a podcast for grown-ups.
He gives good reasons why the right
wing is NOT living up to its precious
Bible, without putting down the Bible.
As a Jesus-loving Christian and moderate
Democrat, I respect this podcast for
its subject matter. The grown-up manner
of the speaker is just icing on the
cake. He IS funny, but hes not trying
to be, he just has a deadpan delivery
but doesnt have to make jokes to make
it interesting. The facts make it interesting
and devastating.

A
Breath of Fresh Air
Jack
Clarks Blast the Right podcast is truly
a breath of fresh air when it comes
to political commentary. Jack is not
like some commentators who simply climb
on their soap box and state their own
opinions as fact. Instead, Jack welcomes
competent challenges to his way of thinking,
and with logical analysis and sound
research, debunks the lies, distortions,
and self-deceptions of the right wing.
I strongly recommend Blast the Right
for people who seek the truth and care
more about the long term health and
well-being of the whole citizenry than
the short term personal gain advocated
by modern conservatives. Listen as Jack
carefully shows how the high-sounding
"God and country" rhetoric
of the right wing is really just a smokescreen
for policies that ultimately lead only
to the increased misery, suffering,
and death of the less fortunate for
the particular benefit of the wealthy
and the well-connected. And, if you
find yourself in agreement, return to
Podcast Alley to place your vote! Thanks!
